This set of PANPIPES have been carefully made in Peru, the description ZAMPONA is the name given to this type of double row pan pipe by the Incas. It is played by blowing across the top of the note to create a haunting, flute like sound.

Many people believe that pan pipes are thought to have originated in the high Andes, where their sound would echo the gods whistling in the high mountain passes.

This set measures 17cm (L) x 8.5cm (W) | 6.75 inches x 3.25 inches and have 13 SEPARATE PIPES IN TWO ROWS, the longest pipe measures 17cm (L) and the shortest 5.5cm

The Panpipes are decorated with various COLOUR WOVEN BANDS and single strand woollen neck band, this set of Pipes produces a soothing haunting sound.

These panpipes are imported by a member of the World Fair Trade Organisation & the British Association for fair trade, so you can be confident that this item has been carefully made in good working conditions
